GNVQRecording a macro in MS WordFrom the menu bar select'Tools' A dialogue box appears:
give the macro a meaningful name i.e openLetter (note no spaces) Assign macro to ‘keyboard’ A new dialogue box appears:
In the 'Press new shortcut box enter a shortcut key i.e press and hold 'Ctrl' and '7' - this will make the Ctrl+7 appear in the box and is the shortcut key to operate the macro. Press the 'Assign' button Press the 'Close' button The dialogue box closes. Cursor changes to a record symbol and Record Stop/Pause dialogue box appears. Key in what you want the macro to do i.e open a blank page and draw a line. Click the stop recording button Your macro is now ready to run To make it work close the current document and then press Ctrl and 7 If the macro has recorded correctly it should now carry out what you recorded. |
